Scanned Documents now in Google Search Results
There is a great news for those who needs to share their scanned documents across the globe. Google has now started indexing and including the scanned documents in search results.
Scanned documents generally contain pictures of printed words or text. But with the help of Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology, Google now has been able to convert the images of text in the scanned documents into text that is readable.
With the aim of making world’s every information accessible and useful it is another incredible step by Google after indexing documents saved as PDFs for some time now.
“We are now able to perform OCR on any scanned documents that we find stored in Adobe’s PDF format. This Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology lets us convert a picture (of a thousand words) into a thousand words -- words that can be searched and indexed, so that these valuable documents are more easily found. “, says Evin Levey, Product Manager at Google.
The search query “Steady success in a volatile world” in Google will serve the scanned information also in the search results which can be accessible by clicking on ‘View as HTML’ link. And you will see the system working by showing the full document in the text format.
Unlike in the past where scanned documents were rarely included in the search results, now it is much easier sharing our scanned files and documents because of new invention by Google. It is now able to execute OCR on any scanned documents that have been stored in Adobe’s PDF format.
Special Thanks to Google from the Web Design and SEO Company TIS India, which is now able to share its Business Proposal describing its Outsourcing services globally like many other happy ones.
